Moving Forward by Faith
Prayer Focus
Pray that the Holy Spirit would be poured out in such rich measure at the General Conference Session that it would be evident to all that God is with us as a church, and He is doing a great work. (Claim Luke 11:13)
Pray that it won’t be business as usual at this GC session, but a time of spiritual revival that will refresh the hearts of all in attendance. (Claim Psalms 85:6)
Pray for the General Conference Steering Committee made up of leaders who will be deciding how each day’s agenda falls into place during Session. (Claim Ps. 32:8)
Pray that God will lead as votes take place and new leadership decisions are made that will impact future generations. (Claim James 1:5)
Pray for the Women’s meetings, the Back to the Altar revival sessions in the prayer room, and the business session discussion and agenda. Pray that everything will fall into place for the glory and honor of God. (Claim Romans 16:27)
Pray for the youth and young adults that will attend the GC meetings, that they will see Jesus displayed in the lives of our leaders and long to follow and know Jesus more. (Claim Ps. 115:1)
Pray that the theme “Jesus is Coming, I WILL GO” would take on a new significance for all Seventh-day Adventist during this General Conference Session, and that we would be compelled to step out in faith and spread the gospel far and wide while we still have the ability to share. (Claim Isa. 6:8)
Pray that we as a church will embrace the mission God has for us, and move forward by faith, no matter what we face in the future. Pray that we would stand boldly for the truth of God’s Word and be ready for Jesus’ soon coming! (Claim 2 Chron. 16:9)
Promises to Claim as you Pray
“According to your FAITH be it unto you!” Matt. 9:29
“It is a part of God's plan to grant us, in answer to the prayer of faith, that which He would not bestow did we not thus ask.” The Great Controversy, p. 525
“Here are the great cities… [around the world] with their millions of inhabitants that have not yet heard the last warning message. How are these to be warned? If the people of God would only exercise faith, He would work in a wonderful manner to accomplish this work. Hear the words of Christ: ‘If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven.’ Precious promise! Do we believe it? What marvelous results would appear if the united prayers of this company were to ascend to God in living faith! Jesus stands ready to take these petitions and present them to His Father, saying, ‘I know these persons by name. Send answers to their prayers; for I have graven their names on the palms of My hands.’”—Historical Sketches of the Foreign Missions of the Seventh-day Adventists, 152 (1886).

Crossing Our Jordan River!
By Don MacLafferty
Have you ever felt God calling you to step out of your comfort zone, to move forward by faith on some ministry venture, but it seemed like what God was asking you to do was crazy? (It probably didn’t help when others saw what you were doing, and they also thought that you were crazy.)
April and I had our faith put to the test after God called us to leave our paid ministry and start working as full-time volunteers. I was senior pastor of a large congregation and had been employed by the Seventh-day Adventist church for over twenty-five years when God called me to step back from that position so I could be more free to go wherever He called in our growing international discipleship ministry.
As we began this new phase of our ministry, we had told God, “Send us anywhere you want us to go!” His answer surprised us: “Lacombe, Alberta, Canada!”
We sent in all our paperwork to the Canadian government, so that we could move to the place where God was calling. After months of waiting for the proper permits to move, we faced a dilemma. Our daughter Jessica needed to start school in a couple of weeks, but we were told that we would have to wait four or five more months. Yet, God said, “I have urgency for you to move to Canada! Call for revival there before the school year begins.”
In prayer, I shared why that was not possible at that time. God challenged us, “Go put your feet in the Jordan! Go to the border by faith!” Our friends kindly advised us that we should not leave our home and travel 1,000 miles north to cross the border into Canada without having a permit in hand. “If you were told it would take four to five more months to get your permit, then that is what it will be.” But God said, “Go!”...

Join our 10 Day Virtual Prayer Room for the GC Session
As the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church gathers this July in St. Louis, Missouri, for the 62nd General Conference Session, 24/7 United Prayer, in partnership with Revival and Reformation, invites believers around the world to unite in prayer, fasting, and intercession to cover the GC Session 2025.
1 Heart 4 the World Church: Back to the Altar is a 10-day virtual united prayer experience, happening from July 2 at 7:00 PM CDT to July 12, 2025 at 7:00 PM CDT (in America), or July 3–13 (in Asia). This global initiative is a solemn call to seek the Lord together as the Church enters this pivotal moment in history.
This is a call to rebuild the broken altars in our homes and churches, to seek a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and to stand in the gap for our leaders, delegates, and the worldwide mission of the Church.
Stand in the gap. Be the revival.
Together, let us:
Pray for the GC Session leadership and every decision made
Intercede for unity, clarity of mission, and global revival
Call families and churches back to daily worship—back to the altar
Mark your calendar. Invite your church. Prepare your heart.
Let us come together with one heart and one purpose, crying out for the revival and reformation our Church urgently needs.

MARY GRACE AT PIEDMONT PARK:
Mary Grace was born with the absence of her right forearm and her right leg is 8" shorter than her left leg. She has performed at the General Conference worship services, on 3ABN, and more. She has been the cover story for several Christian magazines.
You are invited to join us at Piedmont Park (48th & A) Church Service on August 2 at 11:00am where you'll be inspired by her awesome music and testimony as she shares the unconditional love and acceptance she found in the Lord and how her faith in God carried her through an unexpected storm.
